Frequently Asked Questions

This is where you will find most answers. If there should still be any questions left, don't hesitate to contact us.

Ordering & Cooperation

Do you have a minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

For most standard LED strips, neon and drivers we work with carton-based MOQs. Typical ranges are:

  • LED strips / neon: around 50–100 rolls per model & CCT
  • Drivers / controllers: around 100–200 pcs per model

For new projects or trial cooperation we can discuss a smaller first order if there is a clear long-term plan.

How fast can you make samples?

For products based on existing structures and tooling, samples are usually ready within about 7 days after all details are confirmed. For new OEM / ODM designs that need new tooling, special PCBs or packaging, samples normally take around 10–20 days, depending on complexity.

What is your typical lead time for mass production?

Typical lead time:

  • LED strips & neon: about 3–4 weeks
  • Luminaires, drivers and more complex systems: around 4–5 weeks

Lead time can change with season and order mix, so we always confirm it again when you place the order.

Can you produce under my brand or use neutral packing?

Yes. We support:

  • Neutral packing – plain cartons and labels with no LUMSET® logo.
  • Your brand (OEM) – logo on products, labels and cartons according to your brand guidelines.
  • Deeper ODM cooperation – when we jointly develop new models or series.

Details such as logo files and label layouts can be defined using our forms in Tools & Templates.

How can I get a quotation faster?

The more complete your information, the faster and more accurate our quotation will be. The best way is to:

  • use our Lighting Project Inquiry Form or OEM / ODM Briefing Form,
  • attach drawings, photos or reference products if available,
  • indicate target prices or alternatives if you already have something in mind.
What payment terms do you offer?

Typical terms are T/T with deposit and balance before shipment. For long-term and stable partners we can discuss more flexible options. All details are agreed case by case before order confirmation.

Which markets do you mainly ship to?

LUMSET® mainly supplies to Europe, the Middle East and South America, with key partners in countries such as Portugal, Spain, Brazil and the UAE. We are open to discussing new regions as long as products and documentation fit local requirements.

How do we start long-term cooperation?

Most long-term partnerships start with a small but real project or a focused product range:

  1. Start with samples and a first trial order.
  2. Collect feedback from your clients or installers.
  3. Optimise models, packaging and documents together.
  4. Gradually expand into a stable range and regular orders.
Can I visit your factories?

Yes, factory visits can be arranged with prior notice. We usually plan the visit around your product focus, so you can see the most relevant lines such as COB, SMD, neon or power supplies.

How can I contact you and how fast will you reply?

You can use the Contact page on this site or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. directly. We aim to reply within 24 hours on working days. For complex technical or project questions we may need a bit more time to collect accurate details.

Products & Technical

What types of products does LUMSET® focus on?
We focus on LED strip & neon systems, project luminaires, power supplies and basic control solutions. The idea is to provide a complete system: light source + power + control + practical documentation.
How do I choose between COB and SMD LED strips?
COB strips offer dot-free light, better visual comfort and are ideal for visible lines (coves, profiles). SMD strips can be more cost-effective and flexible for hidden or indirect lighting. If you want very clean lines or close-to-surface lighting, COB is usually the better choice.
How do I select the right voltage (12V / 24V / 48V / high-voltage)?
  • 12V – short runs, finer cutting steps, small features.
  • 24V – good balance for most projects, common choice.
  • 48V – longer runs with better voltage drop control, often for professional projects.
  • High-voltage strips (110/220V) – very long runs, direct mains connection, need strict safety and application control.
Can you rework my existing website?

How do I estimate the maximum run length for LED strips?

Maximum run length depends on voltage, power per metre, PCB width and cable size. As a simple rule:

  • follow the recommended max run length in our datasheets,
  • for longer runs, feed from both ends or use multiple feed points.
What information do you need to recommend a product?

At minimum we need:

  • application (indoor/outdoor, type of space),
  • desired CCT, CRI, beam or diffusion,
  • mounting method (profile, surface, recessed, etc.),
  • basic run lengths and power constraints. More details (drawings, photos) always help.
Can you help with basic lighting calculations?

Yes, we can assist with simple power, run length and basic layout checks. For full lighting design or detailed simulations, it’s best to work with a professional designer; we support them with all technical data.

Do you offer dimming and control options?

Yes. We offer on/off, 0–10V, DALI and basic RF / smart control options with matching drivers and controllers. The exact solution depends on your project’s system and budget.

What is the typical lifetime of your LED products?
Many of our main LED ranges are designed for typical rated lifetimes of 50,000 hours or more under standard conditions. Actual lifetime depends on installation, ambient temperature, drive current and usage pattern.
Can you match or cross to an existing brand’s model?
In many cases yes. If you share key data (photos, datasheet, application), we can propose a close match or functional equivalent in the LUMSET® range. We’ll also tell you where differences exist (e.g. efficiency, size, CCT).
Can you design custom lengths, connectors or profiles?

Yes. For projects with enough volume, we can customise strip lengths, connector types, cable lengths and aluminium profiles. Please share your drawings or sketches so we can check feasibility and MOQ.

Quality, Logistics & After-sales

How do you control quality before shipment?

Quality control covers the whole process:

  • incoming inspection for key components,
  • in-process checks during SMT and assembly,
  • aging / burn-in tests for selected products,
  • photometric checks where needed,
  • final visual and functional checks before packing.
What certifications and standards do you follow?

Our products are designed around the requirements of CE, RoHS, UKCA, REACH and, where needed, FCC / EPREL and other market-specific regulations. Some factories also follow management systems such as ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 / 50001 where applicable. Full details are listed on our Quality & Certificates page.

Can you provide test reports and declarations?
Yes. For key products we can provide electrical, photometric and safety-related test reports, as well as Declarations of Conformity. For specific models or projects, please tell us which documents are required.
How do you pack LED strips, neon and luminaires?
Strips and neon usually go into individual bags or reels, then inner cartons, then export master cartons designed for safe transport and good container loading. Luminaires are packed with appropriate protection to avoid damage during shipping.
Can you follow our packing and labeling requirements?
Yes. If you provide your packing and labeling standards, we can align with them as long as they fit the product and shipping conditions. Our Packaging & Label Specification Sheet is designed exactly for this purpose.
What shipping options do you offer?
We can ship by sea (FCL / LCL), air or express, using your nominated forwarder or ours. For larger, regular orders, we recommend planning forecast and container schedules together to optimise freight cost.
How do you handle transport damage or defects?
If there is transport damage, please take photos of cartons and products upon arrival and inform us as soon as possible. For product defects, we may ask for photos, videos or samples for analysis. After confirmation, we will discuss replacement, credit or other solutions case by case.
What warranty do you offer for your products?
Warranty terms depend on the product series and application. Many standard LED products come with a 2–5 year warranty under normal usage conditions. Exact warranty conditions are defined in our Basic Warranty Terms and can be adjusted for specific projects.
Do your products support local recycling and EPR schemes?
Yes. We pay attention to packaging materials and markings to help products and packaging enter local recycling or EPR schemes, especially in European markets. Symbols such as the crossed-out wheeled bin or recycling marks are used where applicable.
Can you support third-party inspections or factory audits?
Yes. We can cooperate with third-party inspections (pre-shipment checks, during-production checks) and audits arranged by you or your clients. It’s best to agree on scope, timing and standards in advance.
